BAYO: More Than a Song, a Movement

It all began in 2016 when Michaël Brun released the song « BAYO », an explosive track in collaboration with Strong G, Baky, and J. Perry. From its release, the song captured the very essence of Haitian culture—a vibrant fusion of compas, afrobeat, and Caribbean rhythms, illustrated by a colorful music video that celebrates the energy of Haitian youth. With BAYO, Michaël Brun doesn't just entertain; he redefines Haitian musical identity on the international stage. He demonstrates that Haitian culture is alive, dynamic, and capable of captivating an audience far beyond the island's borders. BAYO 2025, which will take place on June 28th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. In a poignant video published on his social media, he is seen sitting in the stands of the Barclays Center, holding an open notebook with a message for his mother, who passed away in December 2024:
« Dear Mom, we are finally realizing this Arena project we always talked about. I miss you. With love, Michaël. » This concert, which he considers a dream come true, will therefore be a vibrant tribute to his mother and everything she represented for him in his career and musical journey.
