Reorganization of the HNP's Communication Department with Inspector General Frantz Leurrebourg Leading DICOP

PORT-AU-PRINCE.— The high command of the Haitian National Police has undertaken a strategic reorganization of the institution's communication. As part of this initiative, Inspector General Frantz Leurrebourg was officially installed on Thursday, October 23, 2025, as Director of Communication for the HNP (DICOP). He succeeds Pierre Hugues Brun, former Coordinator of Press and Public Relations (CPRP). The installation ceremony was held in the presence of several high-ranking officials of the police institution, reflecting the command's desire to give new impetus to the HNP's communication policy. Among the personalities present were the Chief of Staff to the Director General, Berson Soljour, and the spokesperson for the National Police, Michel-Ange Louis Jeune. According to officials, this reorganization aims to strengthen the coherence, transparency, and responsiveness of police communication, in a context marked by an increased demand for reliable information and the security challenges the country faces.
