The FONDEL Political Party Calls on the Government Regarding Security and the Return to Constitutional Order

The National Force of Hope and Light (FONDEL) political organization, through its president, Pierre-Louis Dominique, launched an appeal in favor of the Haitian people, urging the authorities to fully assume their responsibilities in the face of the crisis facing the country.

This statement was made on Saturday, February 7, 2026, in front of the Villa d’Accueil, during a press briefing in which he called on Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, inviting him to guarantee the security and protection of the population's lives.

In his address, the president of the FONDEL Political Party emphasized that Haiti's problems must be resolved by Haitians themselves, calling on the international community to stay away from any decision based on favoritism for the benefit of a minority. The political leader deplored the collapse of institutions, the weakening of the state, and the absence of equitable justice, which he considers major factors in the worsening political and social crisis.

Finally, Pierre-Louis Dominique advocated for the swift organization of elections nationwide, in order to provide the country with legitimate leaders and to enable the restoration of Parliament and other republican institutions. Recalling the historical significance of February 7, 1986, he questioned Haiti's ability to definitively break with logics of domination and regain its full sovereignty, in the exclusive interest of the Haitian people.
