The United States Designates Criminal Groups in Haiti as Terrorist Organizations

The doctrine of American supremacy states that « America will never accept its strategic dominance to be challenged ». To ensure this, it will resort to preventive military actions if necessary; what is called anticipatory self-defense. This doctrine was mobilized after the September 11 attack.

Today, the United States, the world's policeman, has just crossed a new threshold regarding Haiti by designating criminal gangs in Haiti as foreign terrorist organizations. Haiti is located a few miles from the United States, thus in its backyard. It has automatically become unthinkable for terrorist organizations to exist in the backyard of the United States.

While the definition of terrorism for Americans has evolved since 2001, the doctrine of supremacy remains unchanged. What actions will the United States undertake in the coming months to combat the terrorist organizations Viv Ansanm and Gran Grif in Haiti?
