Founding member of the Organization of the Struggling People (OPL), Dr. Sauveur Pierre Étienne launches a political movement

Professor Sauveur Pierre Etienne announces the creation of the Haitian National Salvation Movement (MOHSANA). This sociopolitical structure proposes a roadmap articulated around seven reform axes, to address the situation of corruption, insecurity, and the degradation of the country's physical environment. These include Security and State authority, Political Governance, National Institutions, the Rule of Law, and Self-determination and National Unity.

MOHSANA issues a general call for collective mobilization to transcend social class, color, and gender differences, as well as religious, ideological, and political divisions that have, until now, prevented, as one of the founding members emphasizes, "the worthy heirs and heiresses of the Vertières legacy from uniting, speaking with each other, associating, and acting together against insecurity, impunity, corruption, injustice, social exclusion, and the degradation of the country's physical environment."

MOHSANA's manifesto proposes

"a bold, structured, and inclusive vision to rebuild Haiti on foundations of sovereignty, justice, shared prosperity, and civic solidarity." Among the personalities comprising this structure are Roberson Edouard, Sociologist, Professor, Co-founding Director of the Center for Research and Exchange on Security and Justice; Beaudelaine Pierre, writer, essayist, professor; Pierre Michelot Jean Claude, Expert in Public Communication; Fritz Calixte, Philosopher, professor; and Nancy Edouard, Jurist, specialist in labor law.

The official launch of this movement is set for Saturday, March 29, 2025.
