Between the delayed appointment of new Directors General, the controversial announcement of carnival amidst the crisis, and a Council of Ministers under high pressure, public expectations are high, but hope is diminishing. Approximately ten (10) months after their installation, the members of the Presidential Transitional Council are still slow to make their mark. Delayed Appointments. The absence of appointments for new Directors General in several key state institutions illustrates the government's inertia. These positions, strategic for public affairs management, remain vacant or are occupied by interim officials without real powers of action. Is this delay due to behind-the-scenes power struggles or an inability to find competent and consensual profiles? Whatever the reason, this situation contributes to the paralysis of institutions and accentuates the feeling of a vacuum at the top of the state. *Carnival Announced Amidst Crisis: An Irresponsible Choice.* While gangs extend their control over a large part of the territory and thousands of citizens live in fear and forced displacement, the announcement of organizing carnival, with a budget of nearly 4 million US dollars, is surprising. How can such a festive event be justified when state institutions are in tatters and violence rages? Are there not other more urgent priorities, such as security stabilization or the reconstruction of collapsed public services? This decision sends a troubling signal about the government's priorities, risking an increase in popular distrust. A Council of Ministers Under Pressure: What Decisions Against Gangs and for Transition? This Wednesday, a crucial Council of Ministers meeting is eagerly awaited by the population. Two burning issues are on the table: the fight against gangs and the appointment of Directors General. Haitians want concrete measures, a realistic action plan, and a firm political will to regain control of the country. However, so far, the state's response to armed groups has proven ineffective, oscillating between vague announcements and limited police interventions.
