The Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets with the Chargé d'affaires of the Bahamas in Haiti

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Mr. Jean Victor Harvel JEAN-BAPTISTE, met with the Chargé d'affaires of the Bahamas in Haiti, Mr. Junian Smith, and the Head of Economic and Commercial Affairs at the Embassy of the Bahamas in Haiti, Mr. Théodore Russell.

During this meeting, the two diplomats affirmed their readiness and firm commitment to work towards strengthening the bonds of friendship, solidarity, and cooperation that exist between Haiti and the Bahamas. This meeting also covered various topics related to the relations between the two countries, notably regional integration, the participation of the Bahamas in the Multinational Security Support Mission in Haiti (MSSM), and the presence, in Haitian waters, of a Bahamian Coast Guard vessel to assist in securing the port of Port-au-Prince.
