The Haitian National Police Retakes Control of Bassin-Bleu Police Station and Maintains Position

PORT-AU-PRINCE.— The Haitian National Police (PNH) announced it has retaken full control of the Bassin-Bleu Police Station, in the North-West department, after an armed attack carried out by individuals identified as members of the criminal group Kokorat San Ras. According to information released by the PNH's Press and Public Relations Coordination (CPRP), the assailants had briefly occupied the premises after sowing panic and partially burning the building. A rapid and coordinated response, supported by specialized PNH units, allowed for the neutralization of the offensive and the re-establishment of police presence in the area. Security and Sweeping Operations Underway Security and sweeping operations were immediately launched to ensure a gradual return to order and stability for the benefit of the local population. The PNH affirms it is maintaining heightened vigilance in the sector to prevent any new attempts at destabilization. Furthermore, the Director General of the PNH, Mr. André Jonas Vladimir Paraison, praised the courage and professionalism of the officers mobilized during this intervention. He reiterated the institution's determination to « relentlessly track all armed groups that threaten public peace and citizen security ».
