Three Alleged Bandits Arrested, 1 Rifle and a Vehicle Seized by Police in Cap-Haïtien

In a statement published on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, on its Facebook page, the Haitian National Police announced the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of a firearm during an operation conducted in La Madeline, a locality located on the Route de Village SOS, in Cap-Haïtien.

They are Jonas Dorsaint, Delinx Paul, and Frandy Pierre. They were traveling in a gray Toyota RAV4 vehicle, registered EE-01804.

According to the police institution, during a routine check, the three individuals denied being in possession of illegal items. However, a thorough search of the vehicle allowed officers to discover a rifle hidden in a bag. The weapon was immediately seized, and the suspects were placed in police custody pending legal proceedings.

This operation is part of a series of preventive actions carried out by the Departmental Directorate of Police of the North. The objective is to combat the proliferation of firearms and strengthen security in the region, where authorities report a worrying resurgence of illegal arms trafficking.

The HNP took the opportunity to reaffirm its determination to track down all those seeking to sow panic among the civilian population.
